A former industrial partner of developer, Trammell Crow, Gillis Thomas has been building industrial warehouse buildings since 1949. After heading Crow’s industrial division for twenty-six years, Gillis left the Crow Company in August of 1975 and formed his own company. Today the Gillis Thomas Company has offices and properties in Dallas, Texas, Denver, Colorado and also owns a large distribution facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Leadership of the Gillis Thomas Company has been passed down from first generation founder, Gillis Thomas, to Don Conlon, a member of the family’s second generation. In February of 2004 the first member of the family’s third generation, Kevin Conlon, began his career at the company.
